Chapter 10

The drunk, Professor Trelawney giving a card reading and as usual, she sounds as if she is just talking jibberish. We look into the mind of Bob Ogden and see that the Gaunt family tree is full of in-breeding and insanity. We also learn that the last of Salzar Slythern's family was living in poverty. We meet Merope, Voldemort’s mother and Tom Riddle Senior. She uses a curse on him and possibly a love potion to gain his “love”. Merope stops using both eventually on Tom and he wakes up, and leaves Merope pregnant. In her depression, she slowly starts dying. We do find out that Professor Dumbledore has found the ring-with the Perverell coat of arms engraved on the stone-, was wearing it when him and Harry went to talk with Professor Slughorn. It is also left for translation, that is how the Professor injured his hand.
It now shows us that the GREAT LORD VOLDEMORT is nothing but a fake and not the Pureblood that he says he is. Carring on the great family pride and deluisions of grandeur.

Quarters

I awoke Monday morning in the infirmary w/ an IV in my arm. The last thing I remember was playing quarters with Elanor at Hog's Head. I had met up with her Saturday, but she was pissy with me because I left to meet up with my man. So, I made plans to meet her there at a later time. (I can't divulge that information)

I go in and she is already winning some tournament and is dancing on the bar swinging her head around. I sit down and we start playing and I realize how bad I am pretty quickly by all of the drinks of butter beer I have to take. Within 30 minutes, I'm in bad shape. Meanwhile, Elanor is now singing karaoke on the bar. I decide to join her and we end up singing some old Lita Ford song. We sit back down and keep playing quarters and Elanor keeps winning,I keep losing and drinking. Elanor is very good at this game. As I stated in my earlier blog, she is quite a bit older than me. She's been at Hogwarts longer than most students. Dumbledore must have some sort of fatherly love for her. She spends most of her free time at Hog's Head or the Three Broomsticks, makes failing grades, yet he does keep her. She is quite intelligent though, but she does have an affection for beer and spirits. She can handle her beer and spirits much better than me. That's how I ended up in the infirmary.

I guess I started getting sick at Hog's Head. Elanor didn't make it out unscathed. She is the one that got me to the infirmary, but I got her pretty messy also. So there I laid, dehydrated, with a tube sticking out of my right hand and a pounding head. Elanor was bright and cheerful and had made it to class! She already skipped her first class today though.

Hogsmeade

I am absolutely exhausted! Spent the whole day at Hogsmeade with the girls and met up with my boyfriend later and let's just say, I had an interesting day!

I stopped by Gladrags Wizardwear to pick up a new robe because I had torn mine on a desk running out of class. I guess that's what I get for writing a love letter and losing all track of time. I should of just snuck and used some magic and let my quill take over.

After that, I met up w/ Penelope and Rowena at Honeydukes Sweetshop and we had some yummy chocolate fudge. I also saw Wavery Trimble from Ravenclaw. We chatted for a bit. It was good to catch up with her. I bought some for my boyfriend for our meet up later.

This is where the trouble started..I wanted to see Elanor. She's A LOT (I guess she's been held back a few times) older than me and she's been my mentor at Hogwarts. She's pretty wild and we all know I have a wild streak. She told me she'd be at Hog's Head or Three Broomsticks. OMG! Because of the damage that occured, I can't say where she was or what exactly happened. We weren't involved in the damage ; we were innocent bystanders, but we saw exactly what happened. This will go down in history.

The posse slipped out of there and I met my love at the Shrieking Shack. He bought me the exact same chocolate. I AM SO IN LOVE! Can you imagine the little witches and wizard we could have together! This is where my story stops. However, look at how cute he is! I'm sure you've seen him around campus. I'm off to bed now for some much needed rest.

Wool Gathering

Went to the Wool Gathering today in Yellow Springs. Lots of yummy things. Bought some yarn and notions. Got the little one an Alpaca stuffed animal. She loves it. Met a cool chick w/ a daughter that had a heart surgery scar. We started chatting b/c mine had open heart surgery at 7 months. I learned right away how lucky we are. My girl will should never have to have another surgery. She's little, but mighty and on track for 2 1/2 years old. The little one I met today was the same age, but developmentally 8 mos. old. She will have numerous more surgeries and have to have a transplant at 16 years old. Let's just say I had a big dose of reality and was very humbled and thankful today. I feel for that family and little E. I wanted to scoop her up and make it all go away.
